This 3-day classroom based course provides a basic introduction to the visual inspection of structures and simple mechanical plant. It is suitable for:
- NDT technicians and similar that want to take their first steps into the plant inspection field.
- Technicians of all types that want to learn the basic skills of mechanical inspection.
The course provides a background in a wide range of inspection topics. No prior specialised knowledge is assumed, although delegates will often have some previous experience in the role of the plant inspector. Typical topics are shown in the schedule below:
Note that, for this course, individual subject examinations are taken at the end of each day rather than being concentrated together on the final day. Owing to the varied nature of the course content, these courses are run 'on-demand' only. Public courses are available but most are run as in-company courses.
