June 2009 API 510/570 course runs successfully on Teesside

MET were pleased to host over 30 delegates for our API 510/570 training programme and API examination held on Teesside on 04th June. As usual we were pleased to welcome some celebrity trainees; hidden among the group shot you can the Mitchell brothers from Eastenders, refugees from The Blues Brothers and Easy rider movies, a young Freddie Mercury and a chap with a flowerpot embedded in his head.

Best of luck with the exam to all our delegates.

Welcome to the website of Matthews Engineering Training Ltd, a company specialising in training programmes for engineers and technicians involved in the inspection of pressure systems and mechanical plant.

WE TRAIN...

Plant inspection training is gaining increasing acceptance in the UK and overseas as a way to:

  • Improve the technical competence of plant inspectors.
  • Equip inspectors for work on specialist equipment such as pressure systems.
  • Develop younger engineers who lack practical training.
  • Demonstrate inspection competence to clients and accreditation bodies.
  • Enable skilled technicians in other areas - welding, NDT etc to move into the plant inspection field.

OUR AIM...? We'll tell you...

Matthews Engineering Training Ltd aims to be the prominent provider of specialist training courses in the field of plant inspection.

We offer a programme of courses carefully chosen to match the requirements of inspection staff in the fields of power/process/petrochemical plant inspection. 2- to 4-day courses have been presented to large industrial clients in the UK and overseas over the past 5 years with excellent results.

WE DEVELOP...

2009 will bring new developments to supplement the range of classroom-based courses. We are now offering new and intensive 4- and 5-day courses in practical, hands-on inspection of pressure systems. These are intensive 30-40 hour courses with limited delegate numbers and cover a wide range of pressure system inspection activities, including practical training on pressure relief valves (PRVs).

WE EXAMINE...

Most of our courses include examinations and tests to gauge the delegates' understanding of the course material. Not everyone likes examinations...but that's the way we do it. It tells us, and the delegates, and their employer or sponsor, if the delegates have improved their knowledge.

Further details on course material, the programme for 2009 courses and other relevant information is shown on this website. You can make an enquiry or reserve a course booking, pending confirmation.
